End User Licence Agreement

This EULA is between you and Mialo. It is not with Apple. Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Mialo on any Apple device you own or control, subject to these terms and the App Store rules.
Use of Mialo requires signing in with Apple. By signing in you authorise us to store an anonymised Apple User ID and session token on our servers for authentication purposes.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app
- Sell or sublicence access to the app
- Reverse engineer or extract source code
- Use the app to build a competing product
3. Your Content
Your journal entries remain your property. We claim no intellectual property rights over your recordings, transcripts, or notes.
4. Subscription Licence
A paid subscription licences you to use the corresponding premium features during your active subscription period only. Premium feature access ends when your subscription lapses or is cancelled.
5. AI Disclaimer
AI features are for personal reflection only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind. See Terms of Service Section 4. We expressly disclaim all liability for decisions made based on AI-generated content.
6. Data Risk
All journal data is stored on your device. You are responsible for your device. Mialo is not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, iOS update, or any other cause. We strongly recommend you do not use Mialo as your sole record of important information.
7. No Warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
8. Limitation of Liability
OUR LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED WHAT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE ANY CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
9. Apple’s Role
This EULA is solely between you and Mialo. Apple is not a party. Apple bears no obligation for maintenance, support, or warranty. Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app.
10. Third-Party Terms
By using AI features you also accept OpenAI’s Terms of Service. By purchasing a subscription you accept Apple’s and RevenueCat’s terms.
11. Termination
This licence terminates immediately if you breach any term. Upon termination, delete all copies of the app.
